Young G’s, it’s Young C

February 28, 2008

young gunz

On my way home from class today I decided to pop in an old goody. The Young Gunz’ Tough Luv. Needless to say, that shit brought me back to the good ol’ days. I felt like it was 2004 again. It reminded me of how easy and fun life was back in high school.

But anyways, this CD is a certified classic in my eyes. I found myself listening to it the whole way through and remembered how damn good this album really was. It has so many hot tracks. “$$$$$ Girlz”, “Never Take Me Alive”, “Tough Luv”, “Grown Man”, “Take It How You Want It”, “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop”…. just to name a few. But, I could never forget “No Better Love” Featuring Rell. This song right here is undoubtedly one of my most favorite songs of all time.  A straight up classic.

Im Fat

February 26, 2008

The past 2 or 3 weeks I have been feeling terrible. No energy. Tired all the time. Whenever I’m at work all i could think about is how much i would love to go home and sleep. This is not a good thing. Im 21 years old. I should be full of life. So I’ve come to the conclusion that I am fat and outta shape. (Lol) Seriously, I weigh like 220 and im only 5’6″. Shit is gross. So from here on i will diet and i will excercise as frequently as I can. I will also no longer drink as much as i do. I will only drink on the weekends. I will eat better , meaning less portions, fruits and salads, etc. I will also post updates and progress.

P.S.   Im serious about this!!!!!!

Song Of The Week

February 26, 2008

Just a little weekly ritual I like to call, Song Of The Week. Simply put, it’s a tune to start off the new week. It has no real meaning behind it. I just randomly pick a song from any artist that pops in my head. Anyone else is welcome to post a song of the week if they happen to think of one before I do on Mondays or if I forget. Here it goes……Oasis(figures right) – Carnation. A song they covered by the late 80’s early 90’s band The Jam.

Upcoming Concerts

February 26, 2008

5/16/2008 -New England Dodge Music Center- Hartford, Connecticut

If anyone is trying to go to this holler at your boy. This could turn out very epic, plus I’m dying to see N.E.R.D. I could care less about Rihanna, I’ll bring my Ipod just in case.

I wish i could go to this, but Toad’s Place will have to suffice for now. He’ll be performing with Talib Kweli at Toad’s Place for the Hot 93.7 Underground Jam on March 26. The pack will be there in numbers posted up and jammin at the bar. Anyone interested or need anymore info, holler.

Dr. Feel Good??

February 25, 2008

Motley Crue “Dr. Feel Good”/Nike Dunk SB. Lol. Set to come out in April I believe? I really don’t know what to say. I can’t determine if they are ugly or beautiful…. I think I need a pair though.

Rock & Roll

February 25, 2008

Now ever since I was a lad I’ve always loved rock and roll. The Beatles, Oasis, Rolling Stones, and JET just to name a few. I love the fact that theres no limit to what you can express through rock & roll. Anything from being heart broken, the challenges and attitude of being young, to just songs about life. To represent my love for rock and roll and the wolfpack way of life which consists of being young, loving alcohol and life, and also the love for rock & roll, here it is …………….Oasis – Cigarettes and Alcohol (none of us smoke cigs)

Ever since i was a youngin’ I was always infatuated with sneakers. When I skateboarded for a short stint back in elementary, I would beg my mom for the new Chad Muska’s or the Rick Howards with the straps. I just wanted my feet to be fly as a seagull. When middle school came around, i became infatuated with Nike’s. Airforce this! Airforce that! Anything with a check and some straps and I was on it. Air Jordans, Air Max’s, Griffey’s, I needed them all.

Little did I know, my love for sneakers was shared by many others. Sneakers aren’t just things you put on your feet anymore, they are a way of life. A sort of sneaker-culture has evolved over the years. People will pay top dollar for a fresh pair of Dunks. What used to be $60-70, has now increased to $100-400. I used to think having the newest pair of Jordan’s from Footlocker was fresh. Nowadays if you didn’t wait in line overnight for your sneakers they aren’t considered “exclusive” or “hot”. It’s amazing how the times have changed and how the sneaker culture has grown.

No matter how old I get, I’ll always have an appreciation for sneakers/shoes. To me, sneakers are art. The design, shape, color, materials and history are all things that I take into account. From an aesthetic standpoint, they remind me of my childhood and just having fun.

This is a video/song called “K.R.E.A.M.” (kicks rule everything around me) by U-N-I, from their album Chicken and Watermelon….

Allow myself to introduce myself….

The good thing about it, is that I know im not the only one. We love music. We love alcohol. We love women. We love the wolfpack.

Hello new world!

February 23, 2008

(This is a continuation of the old wolfblog. I guess i lost interest and had no motivation to update it anymore…. or maybe it was the fact that i don’t have a camera anymore.

But anyways, I felt it was time for a change and a new beginning. Bare with me for the first couple of posts. I have yet to get a new camera and have to get used to this wordpress format.)

I created this blog to document the life and times of the wolf pack. From the things we do to the way we feel. At times I or my com padres may come off as obnoxious or rather rude, but understand that we are wolves and thus, it is in our nature. Come and take a journey with us. This is for all my wolves out there.
